2015-2016 McAuliffe Bus Schedule
Click here for the 2015-2016 Bus Schedule for our Challengers!  Students living beyond the one mile radius of the school will be car riders or walkers.
Back-to-School Nights
Back-to-School Nights will be held as seen below.  Please come only on the dates provided for your child's grade level.
3rd-5th Grades:  September 28 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
KG-2nd Grades: September 29 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

 

 
Student Registrations
Registration will be ongoing through the summer.  Please see the side tab labeled "School Registration" for more details.  Appointments will be needed to register your child.  Please contact the main office at 703-680-7270 to schedule an appointment between 8:00 and 4:00.  

***PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT REGISTERED, THEY WILL NOT BE PERMITTED INTO A CLASS UNTIL ALL DOCUMENTS ARE RECEIVED.***

School Hours
McAuliffe Elementary's School Hours Are 8:50-3:40 daily.
Instructional day starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:40 p.m.

Please make sure that if your student is absent for an illness please call the main office first thing in the morning to avoid the school calling your home. 

When your child returns to school, please send in a note explaining the absence within two days to ensure the absence is excused.

McAuliffe Elementary School will provide a safe and nurturing environment that supports, motivates, and encourages all students to achieve to their fullest potential as they strive to become active, productive citizens of exemplary character. Teachers, staff members, and parents will work collaboratively to ensure that all members of the diverse McAuliffe school community feel included, appreciated, and valued.
 
McAuliffe is an Energy Star
McAuliffe has been recognized by the school division and the Environmental Protection Agency as an EPA ENERGY STAR school. We are one of fifteen schools in Prince William to earn this distinction through our concerted efforts to conserve and use our energy resources efficiently. The efforts of the schools in our division this year have created savings in the school system's budget in the amount of $8,000,000! Prince William County Schools are the leaders in the state of Virginia in the effort, and our school is one of the highest performing in this endeavor. Thank you to our students and staff for your efforts to "turn it off" when you are done!!!
