Encore Rotation Schedule
Here you will find the month at-a-glance with our Encore Rotation Schedule for Art, Music, PE, Library and Strings.  The day of the week will correspond with the schedule your teacher can provide to you.  This is helpful to let parents know when tennis shoes are needed for PE, books to be returned to the library, and instruments needed for music and/or strings.  If you have any questions, please ask your child's teacher.

CMES - An Energy Star School
McAuliffe has been recognized by the school division and the Environmental Protection Agency as an EPA ENERGY STAR school. We are one of fifteen schools in Prince William to earn this distinction through our concerted efforts to conserve and use our energy resources efficiently. The efforts of the schools in our division this year have created savings in the school system's budget in the amount of $8,000,000! Prince William County Schools are the leaders in the state of Virginia in the effort, and our school is one of the highest performing in this endeavor. Thank you to our students and staff for your efforts to "turn it off" when you are done!!!

Money not spent on energy costs can be better invested in the classroom. Read more.

McAuliffe Garden Revitalized
Brian Lee, member of Boy Scout Troop 295 planned, organized, and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project the weekend before school opened in August.  His project focused on revitalizing the flower and plant garden at McAuliffe Elementary.  Due to his efforts, many local businesses donated plants, materials, and tools, as well as water and lunch for workers. and the McAuliffe PTA provided monetary assistance.  Many scouts from the troop, parents,  and members of the local Garden Club worked to beautify the garden.  It will be used all year by students as they learn about the water cycle, the plant cycle, and conservation.  The McAuliffe school community is very proud of the new garden and appreciate the efforts of Brian Lee and his helpers!
